To NBC Universal/DreamWorks
Hello, my name is Lindsey Drell. I am writing to you because I am applying for the open UI/UX Designer position at NBC Universal/DreamWorks.
Currently, I am a Lead UI/UX Designer at FOX Television Stations. For over 10 years, I have designed innovative user interfaces that can be deployed on multiple platforms, adapting each platform's unique attributes while maintaining cohesive branding through UI design and user flow. My organizational skills have allowed me to effectively manage the assets generated for myriad platforms through a system of my own design.
I am keenly aware of the big picture as I build strong research-based groundwork such as site maps, user flow charts, and wireframes to ensure a better user experience, encouraging repeat users. This is facilitated by my design perspective, which strikes a balance between creativity and business concerns.
I am also highly collaborative, which allows me to work seamlessly with developers to make sure that my designs are quickly and accurately realized as an end product. This has also been essential in completing projects in an agile environment, which brings producers, marketing, and QA into the process as well.
While I excel in my current position, I feel as though I have learned all I can from the types of projects I am currently assigned. As a lifelong learner, I have decided to seek out new challenges, the likes of which I believe I could find with NBC Universal/DreamWorks.
As an added bonus, my husband David Drell, a Lead in the Character Rigging department, has been with DreamWorks since 2009. He could not be any happier with his workplace and I love the work culture I've witnessed.

Thank you very much for your consideration, I look forward to meeting with you and the NBC/DreamWorks team in person.
